To change what you get, you have to change what you do.

If you continue doing what you have been doing, you’ll continue getting what you have been getting.

That is one of the central themes of the Depression Self-Help Program. In order to get out of your depression, you have to create a new situation for yourself – both in the way you behave and in the way you think. That may be a bit frightening, but this course shows you the way.

Depression Self-Help Program is an online course. It’s not a therapy. It teaches you tools that make it easier to cope with depression and teaches you the fundamentals of resilience in the face of challenges and stress triggers. Taking the course may also be helpful if you aren’t deeply depressed yet, but when you feel that it’s on its way.

In 15 individual, interactive online lessons you learn how to become active again, how to change the pattern of your thoughts so that you’ll have more positive feelings, and how to become more resilient.

  • Every lesson in this course will touch upon the concept of resilience and give you additional tools to learn how to “bounce back” after setbacks, stress, anxiety, and more.
  • You can pause a lesson whenever you like, and continue when you’re ready for it. The teachers will wait for you where you stopped.
  • There is a button for asking a teacher to repeat what he or she just said.
  • The Table of Contents makes it possible to repeat a section of the lesson.
  • You can decide to listen to the teachers, to read the closed captions, or both.
  • Every lesson (except for the last lesson) has homework assignments, which are discussed in the next lesson. Their purpose is to give you more insight into yourself and to provide you with tools that can help you to cope with depression.
  • The lessons are presented as interactive videos. Your answers to the teachers’ questions determine the video’s path.

About our Support

About the teachers:

  • The teachers for this course are pleasantly neutral avatars who speak clear English with a slight American accent. Closed captions are available. See Lesson fragments.

About the human team:

  • As a student, you are welcome to write to Resilico’s Support Department whenever something is not clear in a lesson, when an important change has taken place in your life, or when you want to share something with the human team. You can also get technical help.

About your depression:

  • In every lesson you are asked to fill out an identical questionnaire about how you have been feeling lately. After submitting the questionnaire you will receive an email with a PDF document showing how you have answered these questions, and charts and graphs to help you get a visual overview of your depression over time, based on your current and past answers. In this way you can monitor your progress and see potential trends and triggers.
